5 days
Every applicant gets a human answer within five calendar days of applying. A hold doesn't count.
1 reason
Every rejection comes with a written, role-related reason, from a named person who confirms they reviewed the application.
0 AI
Nobody is scored, ranked or judged by software. Not voices, not transcripts, not faces. People decide.
Silence isn't an answer.
CV Pod exists because hiring stopped having people in it. Candidates use AI to write their CVs, employers use AI to reject them, and most people get turned down without ever speaking to anyone. We're putting a real person back on both sides.
Here, every Pod application is owed a human answer from a named person within five days, and every employer's reply record is public before you apply.
Answers in 5 daysJob seekers pay £0, always. Employers pay per post, never per application.

The paper got in the way of the person.
A PDF CV can leave out almost everything that matters about someone who works with their hands, has changed direction, trained in another country or is only just starting.
Twenty years on the tools becomes two lines. A move from retail into care reads like a gap. A qualification earned abroad becomes a word nobody recognises. A school leaver has almost nothing to write. And because applications all look the same now, employers drown in them and lean on filters that never meet anyone.
So we replaced the PDF with a Pod. It's one link that proves you're a real, verified person, lets employers hear you answer a few simple questions in your own voice, and shows proof of your work confirmed by people you've worked with. Then we made the employer's side of the bargain non‑negotiable.
CV Pod is a two-sided marketplace. One Pod application is traded for one guaranteed human answer. That's the whole idea.
What every employer here signs up to.
These aren't legal requirements. UK law doesn't make employers explain a rejection. They're our rules, and posting a job here means accepting them.
Who it's for.
Anyone can use a Pod. We built it first for the people a PDF lets down.

- People over 40Show what you can do now. We never ask for your age, date of birth or graduation date.
- Career changersConnect what you've done to what you want to do next, in your own words.
- TradespeopleShort spoken answers and confirmed claims, built for a phone in a van.
- Migrants with overseas experienceDescribe qualifications accurately, including ones still being recognised.
- Young people with thin CVsA short history is fine. Share the proof you have.
- Small employers and managersSME owners, in-house recruiters and trade, hospitality and care managers who want to hear real people.
How we keep it honest.
You own your Pod.
You decide what's in it, who sees it and when it's switched off. Employers see only what you share with their job, never your other applications.
Both sides see the record.
Candidates see every open, section view and listen on their application. Everyone can see each employer's reply record before applying.
Employers pay. Job seekers never do.
Employers pay per post (from £99, excluding VAT), never per application. No paid boosts, no promoted candidates.
Real people handle problems.
Our Trust Team reviews reports, scam jobs and disputed reasons. They can hide abusive content; they can't make hiring decisions or score anyone.
Meet the demo: BrumCare and Morgan.
To show the whole round trip, we built a fictional Birmingham. BrumCare Home Support is a verified care employer with a £99 Standard post for a Care Assistant (Community), £12.50–£14.00 an hour, full-time. Morgan Ellis is a career changer with customer-facing experience.
Morgan filters Birmingham care jobs by reply record, applies with a Pod that has a verified badge, two voice answers and two confirmed Vouches, and watches BrumCare open it, listen and check the Vouches. On day 3 of 5, a named Hirer sends an interview invitation, and BrumCare's reply record updates from that event.

Birmingham first, employers first.
A Pod is only worth building if there are real jobs to send it to. So we're recruiting employers before we promote CV Pod widely to job seekers, one sector at a time.
| Launch | United Kingdom · Birmingham, England · trades, hospitality and care · prices in GBP |
|---|---|
| Founding employers | A cohort of 12 verified Birmingham employers, aiming for 4 per sector, each with at least one paid Pod-only job. No founding discount. |
| A sector opens | When Birmingham has at least 5 live Pod-only jobs in that sector |
| The city opens | When the three sectors together have at least 15 live Pod-only jobs |
| Outreach | We plan to work with Jobcentre-adjacent charities, over-50s and refugee employment organisations, and colleges. We'll name partners when agreements exist. |

Questions people ask us.
If you're looking for work
- Is CV Pod really free for job seekers?
- Yes. Job seekers pay £0, always. There's no paid ranking and no promoted candidates.
- Does any AI read, score or rank my Pod?
- No. CV Pod never uses AI to score, rank or judge anyone. There are no automated keyword gates and no voice or face analysis. People decide.
- Who can see my Pod?
- Only the employers you apply to, and only what you share with their job. You can switch your Pod off any time.
- What does "Identity verified" mean?
- It confirms who you are, not your right to work.
- Do I have to record voice answers?
- No. There are three fixed prompts, up to 60 seconds each, and every one is optional.
If you're hiring
- What counts as an answer?
- An interview invitation or a reasoned rejection, sent by a named Hirer within five calendar days of the application. A hold is not an answer.
- What happens if an employer misses the deadline?
- It shows on their Public Reply Record, which tracks answers within the promised days, decisions with a reason and median reply time. Records cover a rolling 90 days, need at least 5 eligible applications, and allow a 48-hour grace before a breach is marked.
- What does it cost to post a job?
- Standard £99 for 30 days, Extended £149 for 45 days, or a monthly plan at £249 for three active 30-day posts (£59 per additional post). Approved charities pay £49. All prices exclude VAT, and you never pay per application.
